The mission of FIRST Team 6161 is to excite the youth of Gray-New Gloucester, Maine: to teach students that this team is a mentor-based program. Our goal is to build science, engineering, problem-solving, and technology skills, as well as enhancing self-confidence, communication, and leadership skills.

"We create not only robots but friendships too"!

Team 6161 is excited to announce that our kick-off and build period has officially started! We are participating in “Destination: Deep Space”, in which we will build and program our robot to complete the tasks of loading cargo and hatch panels onto our team's rockets, and loading bays! You can come to see the team in action at our North Shore event, at Reading, Massachusetts High School on March 15th through the 17th, or during our District event on April 4th through the 6th at the Lewiston Colisee. We’re excited to see you there!
